Should you desire to expand the boundaries of your hunting safari to include non-hunting activities we can provide many unforgettable side trips during your safari. The list below are some of the more popular destinations where we provide tours.

Addo National Elephant Park – this is a big five reserve located two hours from Bhejane Game Reserve and boast an elephant herd exceeding 500 animals. The park is home to large numbers of buffalo, zebra, hartebeest and many other plains game species. The tour can be setup as either a day trip, or an overnight trip to include both an evening and morning game drive. Your are sure to capture some dramatic photos during your game drives and can expect to get very close to elephant with some encounters occurring less than 20 yards.

Baviaanskloof Game Park – A world heritage site – This best kept secret in South Africa is home to Buffalo, Leopard, Rhino and many plains game species. The park is located just over one hour from Bhejane Game Reserve. The government is in the process of establishing the park as a full big five reserve. The mountain valley runs for over 100 miles and is boarder by majestic mountains, flowing rivers and dense bushveld. This is an experience not to be missed.

Oudtshoorn – Kangoo Caves, Bufflesdrift and Ostrich Farms – Oudtshoorn is located two hours from Bhejane Game Reserve. Kangoo caves are naturally formed caverns carved from limestone and filled with impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations. At one time the caves were privately owned and concerts were held underground in the caves. The area surrounding the city is home to many of the largest ostrich farms in South Africa. Buffelsdrift Game lodge offers an elephant experience allowing the guest to take picture and feed the animals if desired. It is hard to appreciate the grandeur and size of elephants until you get really up close!

Graaff-Reinet – Valley of Desolation (Camdeboo National Park) and Karoo Taxidermy – This geologic phenomenon, located near the town of Graaff-Reinet, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding plans. The valley of Desolation features towering dolerite columns that were formed over millions of years, creating a dramatic and awe-inspiring landscape. Karoo Taxidermy if a full service taxidermy located in Graaff-Reinet. They perform all facets of the taxidermy process from tanning to completion. A tour of their facility is remarkable for the variety of species under preparation and completed for shipment. If you ever wanted to see in depth how the taxidermy process works then this is your chance. Graaff-Reinet is located two hours drive from Bhejane Game Reserve.

George/Knynsa/Plettenburg Bay – This part of South Africa has some of the most beautiful beaches and marinas in the county. George is the largest city in the area and has all of the modern amenities you would expect including malls, shopping, theatres, and great restaurants. The Drive along the coastal highway from George to Plettenburg bay is dramatic and beautiful. Many have said it to be like Hwy 1 in California but much greener. The drive takes you over rivers, estuaries, bays and provides world class views and sightseeing. For the real adventure seeker a close encounter with Great White Sharks can be arranged as this area is also known for shark cage diving. This tour would entail an overnight in George and two days of sightseeing.
